Other improvements Qi2 brings over Qi include wider device compatibility (from tablets to wearables), adaptive charging so chargers can talk to devices to supply the power they need instead of having a fixed power output, and enhanced safety with better heat management and foreign object detection. What Is Qi2 25W?The first major update for the Qi2 standard is Qi2.2.1, which the WPC is branding as Qi2 25W. While it won’t do anything to clarify the wireless charging scene, it is set to enable a host of improvements:Faster charging speeds of up to 50 watts, though it looks as though 25 watts…
This mouse includes two major productivity features: app-specific profiles and multi-device connectivity, and both work effortlessly. Razer Synapse immediately detected different software and changed the active profile in response, and pressing the button on the underside of the mouse swapped between paired devices instantaneously.Beyond that, Razer Synapse is as impressive as always. I consistently find the software to be one of the best and most intuitive on the market, and that’s the case here. All of the menus are simple and efficient, the settings can be changed in real time, and the adjustments all have tooltips and explanations to tell…
It shouldn’t be surprising if a plate of chicken lababdar tastes delicious. The dish is among my favorite North Indian gravies, a slightly edgier cousin of butter chicken that’s a bit spicier and tangier but just as creamy. What was surprising was that this particular chicken had arrived in the mail. Specifically, it came in a microwaveable tray from CookUnity meal delivery service that looked a little like a white-label TV dinner—packed up earlier that morning in Seattle, then driven down to me in Portland, Oregon. The world of prepared meal delivery is erupting in popularity as of late, and pretty much…
Senior officials from three of OPEC’s core producer nations — Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Kuwait — lined up to say that the super-sized addition of supply by the producer club at the weekend was needed by the global market. Oil prices eked out gains this week, a sign that the market has largely shrugged off the larger-than-expected output hike announced on Saturday by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries and allies. Despite the current tightness, forecasters are pointing out that supply growth is at risk of outpacing demand later in the year. “You can see that…
Tesla has publicly staked its future on its robotaxis. Now the company is planning to launch a public car service in the San Francisco Bay Area. Tesla is calling it a “robotaxi” service, but legally, this one will have to use cars with human drivers. The plan appears to put the electric car maker in murky legal waters in a US state with the country’s most tightly regulated autonomous vehicle industry—and where Tesla is already being sued for misleading language around its driver assistance tech.On Friday, a spokesperson for the California Public Utilities Commission, which regulates ride-hailing and taxi services in…
The manager of a Lincolnshire garage has said her business was still struggling to get fuel supplies two weeks after the Lindsey Oil Refinery filed for insolvency. Lois Dant runs one of the three Gill Marsh Forecourts petrol stations in the county. She said that the Ulceby Cross garage received no fuel for four days last week as the company they had a delivery contract with was owned by the refinery firm Prax. Ms Dant said they were forced to pay more and get deliveries from other suppliers from as far away as Liverpool. “Demand is high and it’s quite…

The Rhine barge freight market in mid-July remained subdued, defined by a tug-of-war between falling water levels and stagnant demand. While water levels at Maxau and Kaub fluctuated notably, the impact on freight rates was limited, as weak product demand, high inland inventories, and seasonal caution continued to suppress market momentum. 1. Freight Rates Stay Flat Amid Quiet Activity Over the week, freight rates for most Rhine destinations remained largely unchanged: Cologne and Strasbourg saw minor adjustments (+0.50 €/ton on July 18 and -0.50 €/ton on July 14), while Basel experienced the most significant movement—a sharp rate decrease of over…

Beginning today, millions of adults trying to access pornography in the United Kingdom will be required to prove that they are over the age of 18.
